"Joan Sharma evokes a feeling of energy in colossal panels with enthusiastic and spirited brushwork. In the midst of downtown Fresno, drawings of resonant magnetic fields adorn the windows of Warnors’ Theater. With curvilinear forms, sinuous lines and spherical spaces, the acrylic painted drawings titled “Fields” accentuate the extended shapes of these windows. Circular voids and elliptical concavities assert the importance and potential inherent in open spaces. “This body of work gives visual form to subtle natural forces that operate within and around the world of form.”
